Some Thoughts
I am so moved by Mr. Treat’s life and example and so sad that I knew so
little of his committed action until now. Nevertheless I/we really
benefited from his and Mary Lou’s philosophy and experiences. Mary Lou
was my advisor, kind and encouraging through my adolescent turmoil. I
feel so lucky to have spent those formative years at Barlow and see
more and more where my commitment to social justice began to grow. Love
to all of you. ~Kathryn (Kathy) Weill

After reading his Obit, I feel so honored to have been taught by him
and to feel the debt that I owe him. He left a mark on this school and
yet it was only such a short span in such a fruitful life. ~Mara Eurich
